Dr. Rudolf Eberle Innovation Award 2021 – MANNER Sensortelemetrie GmbH from Spaichingen brings innovation prize to the region

MANNER Sensortelemetrie GmbH was awarded a prize of 15.000 € for our patented “torsion sensor in stamp format” at the Dr.-Rudolf-Eberle Innovation Competition on 16.11.2021 at the „Haus der Wirtschaft“ in Stuttgart.

The highly innovative product “Torsion sensor in postage stamp format” – is the world’s first weldable, miniaturised torque sensor with integrated near-field telemetry for the dynamic detection of torque, temperature and speed in series applications. Among other things, this enables cost-effective solutions for torque detection in series gearboxes, pumps or drive trains for Industry 4.0 applications.

The torsion sensor uses the proven properties of strain gauge technology and near-field telemetry as well as cost-effective micro-welding application technology and combines them into a torsion sensor in postage stamp format. No soldering iron or interference-prone adhesive process is required for mounting. The assembly time of the sensor is less than 3 minutes. The product has already been tested by several customers from the agricultural, construction machinery, pump and transmission sectors and the first series orders have been placed.
